Unpack Your Bags, Jimmy G. and stay awhile, PLEASE!!

Wow, did the 49’ers just dodge a bullet or what??? It wasn’t that long ago when Jimmy G. had his bags packed and was anxiously waiting for that phone call from another NFL team that was willing to welcome him with open arms and a 27 million dollar check. As luck would have it, Jimmy G. did not leave and the team, Kyle Shanahan and all the 49er faithful are breathing a unanimous sigh of relief and gratitude that he was here to step in and save the day when the new, untested young king of the hill suffered a season-ending injury. Even before Jimmy took the field, I’m certain that concern for Trey was soon followed by an air of calm that the veteran, tested and proven leader, who had all but been kicked to the curb by team ownership, in favor of this promising new leader of the band, Jimmy Garapolo, who had led the team into the playoffs and to the Super Bowl, slid right in, took over and as he had done so many times before, put that “W” on the team’s record when all was said and done. I believe in you, Jimmy G, proven leader, seasoned veteran, team player and soon to prove, saviour of the 49er football season. Take your time healing, Trey. The team is in good hands.
