They’re the second youngest team in the NBA. They sit in third place in the Western Conference, above the Warriors, Lakers, Mavericks, Clippers, Suns and with only two teams currently with better records, the OKC Thunder barely get a word of mention when those “talking heads” of sports recount the previous nights games. Last win came after the Mavericks went on a 30-0 run and OKC fought back to take a 126-120 win. They spanked the Bron and his Lakers in their previous game and played their opponents very close on the few losses they have had, except for one. Not much can be said why respect isn’t being shown but make no mistake about it. Teams on the schedule are no longer looking at playing them as if a win is almost taken for granted. Superstars are few but as a whole, team play and the familiarity and unselfishness of this team has surely put the NBA on alert. OKC is only getting better with every game, SGA is a bonafide superstar, Chet is as good and even better than they expected and “rookie” is a word that means nothing to the way the first year players are performing. It’s going to be a good year in Loud City. Brace yourselves, folks. More ass-whipping is on the horizon. Bend over, Houston……..your’re next.
