Like…don’t like!

So like.. I just sat down here, at my favorite spot in town, like getting ready to do a little writing, and like, there are two ladies “conversating” at a nearby table and like, once again, like, the word “like” seems to be automatically interjected repeatedly into every sentence. It like makes me wonder if either one of them even realize like how often that word is being used. It used to like bother me (not a lot) to hear “you know” being used the same way but like not so much anymore, as far like, as I can tell. I would guess that being around someone who talks like that would like influence you to pick up that unconsciously. In every other aspect, their conversation seems to flow without either one of them being aware of this little grammatical “glitch”. Do teacher’s talk to their students like that? Do parents start talking like that with their kids? Who knows? Like…I don’t and my wife doesn’t. I guess, in the end, it doesn’t really matter at all. So like….. what’s the point of even bringing it up? Like…I don’t really know.
