Donald Duck

It’s almost over, Donald. Talk about going out in a blaze of glory, huh? Who would have thought it would be so much fun way back when the decision was made to reach for the top, if you will. To the surprise and joy of the supporters and the shock and disappointment of those that hoped things wouldn’t go the way they did, you got the keys to the castle. That, in itself, was quite an accomplishment but like every “king” that ruled before you, you were not without your supporters, people who believed you were the right man to assume the throne and the millions of commoners who gave you the nod and helped get you to the top of the mountain. The voices that mumbled and groaned and cried, grew louder and louder. The non-believers shook their heads in disbelief and refuse to buy in to your promise to make America great again. Not a day would go by when a newspaper or major network news segment didn’t contain something bad that you may have said or did. Controversy follows your rule to the very end. If we sifted through the rubble of the years now behind you, would we see a different picture of the legacy that you will leave behind? When the dust settles (if it ever does) will history reveal that some good things were accomplished? You were a leader, like no other, placed in that position in the same way as those that came before and they that will come in the future years. “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!” Who will argue that you spoke your mind, said things that spawned anger in the loudest voices, and made decisions based on what you thought was right. You gained and lost friends. The media was obviously NOT on your side. The page is turning but the “arrows” from the left still fly in your direction. So, Donald??……..DUCK!!
